A Perk

I happen to follow these two to school frequently.  Brett says it would not be cool if I followed him to school.
A very fabulous perk of being a stay at home mama is that I get to spend many days volunteering at their school.
Or maybe just stop by and eat lunch with them.

I get to meet their new friends.
I will be forever grateful for the time I am allowed to be a stay at home mom.
They are only little once.
I will blink my eyes once and they will be all grown up.

Grandma and Grandpa

Ahhh Tom and Sue!!!!  They don't make it often so when they do it sure is special.
Brylee is a total Grandpa's girl.
We happen to love some Apple products.
There was homework to be done.
They were lucky they had 3rd grade math.
Helping Brett with 7th grade advanced math took hours.  I need a refresher course.
Followed by some football watching.
Then some tickling.
Brylee had a homemade ice cream making lesson.
That ice cream is Jake's favorite treat in the whole world.
And Grandma's famous strawberry cake.
We were able to drag Grandpa along to IKEA but not along with to Stillwater, MN.  We left the boys at home and had a girls afternoon.
Brylee was less than impressed with antique shopping.  She did not appreciate the smell of antiques and walked around plugging her nose.
Lunch outside right on the river.
Fun shopping.
The view after climbing 100's of stairs.

See you later pictures.

Minnesota Zoo

The zoo is just minutes away from us.
This guy is an animal lover.
The zoo is his idea of fun.
The zoo is not this guys idea of fun.  But he is always a trooper.
This girl thinks the zoo is stinky.
He finally found a snake.  His favorite.

Out of J's mouth

I take notes on my phone of what comes out of this kids mouth.
He cracks me up.  He just talks out loud as he is thinking.

In my recent notes....
He was in the shower obviously thinking of how cool it would be to have a dolphin.
"If by chance a dolphin was in our shower I will fill it up with warm water and feed it fish until it is 5 feet.  Then I would let it go in the ocean or call someone to pick it up."
Note number 2....

"Mom, when I'm an orthodontist I am going to buy you a king size bed made out of the same stuff that is in my pillow and it will have sheets on it and be able to move.  And I am going to buy Dad the fanciest treadmill they have.  Will I still have money left if I buy it for you?"
