A Present

"Hey Mom, When is Jesus'birthday." "On Christmas Jake." "Mom I want to give Him a present!" "What do you want to give Him?" "Well a gift...you know like a card but don't tell Him because I want it to be a surprise....you know when he gets here."
This morning Jake and I were having a conversation about Jesus coming back.....but don't tell Him Jake has a present waiting :)

Field Day 2009

All of Mrs. Hagel's Bagels. Brett was kind of offended the beginning of the year that he was a Bagel. Now he embraces that he is a Bagel!
I missed it, I was at work :( Good thing Brett has an awesome Dad that took pictures for me!

The Good and Bad of Band-Aids

When you fall down the slide and bump your head.... a band-aid sure makes your owie feel better.
But if you put it on your eyebrow that is not such a good thing.
It really hurts to take off the band-aid and makes you cry even more! Then you don't know what hurts more the bump or the owie from the band-aid being pulled off.

and you are left with big red spots from ripping the band-aid off.....

So what do you do when you bump your head, put a band-aid on your eyebrow and rip it off?.....well.... of course you cry alot and put another band-aid on.....hopefully not on the eyebrow again. Boy is it hard to be 2!

The Joys of Living......

with a house full of boys. You must always be prepared when you open the freezer. You may have a fish looking at you. I guess all his hard work fishing with is Dad paid off because I got a present in the freezer. I love that boy!

"The Man"

Jacob and I were in the kitchen and Bryan walked in from the garage feeling good about himself for fixing something and said "who's the man." I of course say, "well Jake's the man." Jacob says "no Mom.....Jesus is the Man." Amen.

Bubble Girl

The girl loves to do dishes. You leave her alone for just a minute and the soap calls out her name!

"Great" Grandparents!

The kids got a present in the mail from their Great Grandparents.....a bucket full of popcorn and treats. They were thrilled and divided the treats equally into three piles. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa Joe!

Pot of Gold

"If I found a pot of gold, I would buy things for people in need. Also I would give some of it away and buy some legos. That's all I would do . The end."
By: Brett

Jacob 4 1/2 years old!

This is Jake before his swim lessons at the Y. This picture is for his special monthly picture book. Remember I am that strange mom who still takes a monthly pictures of all 3 of my kiddos. Yes he is 54 months old!

Ms. Independent

Brylee is not supposed to be this big already. Where has time gone? She is in a phase of doing everything by herself. Her favorite phrase is "I can do it my telf!!!!" It may take her 20 minutes but goodness she can do it herself and you better not try to help her! She is a ball of fire!

Jakey Baby

I was looking at Jacob the other day and told him that he has the same face as when he was born and he ran and got a picture of himself as a baby and said "I do?" I remember sitting in hospital after he was born just staring at him all night long and calling my Mom in the middle of night to tell her again how beautiful he was. He still has the same face. I love him!

Talli's "Tat"

This is a recent picture of Talli. It think she would say her life is good, not perfect but good.
This is a picture of Talli's new tatoo. Disclaimer: I DO NOT LIKE TATOOS! But I do understand what her tatoo represents. She struggled in her teen years. One of her struggles was self injury. The word hope sums up alot in her life. Through all the nightmares she went through by the grace of God she saw the light at the end and her light was "hope." Hope that there was a better way, hope for a healthy life, hope for healing. She has dedicated her life to serve in the field that helped her find hope when all her hope was lost. In turn she gives her patients hope they need to make it though just one more day, the hope for a better tomorrow and the hope for a better future.
She is amazing, beautiful, and my sister!
I love you Talli.
If you know anyone or you yourself suffers from self injury click on the link selfinjury.com for help. This is the same program that gave her hope.
