Halloween 2012

At school I found Batman...
and a Winter Fairy.
My favorite trick-or-treaters showed up.
Off to get some goodies.
Brett's first year he thought he was too cool to dress up :(
He did tape a quarter on his back and was a "quarterback" at school.
We gathered some friends and walked the neighborhood until there was complaining of cold hands.
Then we headed to church.
Brett hung out with his youth group friends and watched a Fear Factor eating contest and shot paintball guns.

They dumped their buckets and crashed hard.

12

October 18th 2012 at 6:00 am we started celebrating Brett's 12th year of life!
Wow how 12 years has flown by.
He hit the jackpot with an Xbox Live Card from MiMi and Grandpa Jim
After a day of school and an evening of school conferences....poor guy....we headed to Gamestop to spend some birthday money.
Then came home to have his requested meal of cornbread pizza had some Mrs. Fields Birthday cookie cake.

The next day after school we picked up his buddy Jacob and headed to Shenanigans.
Pure Joy!
They played mini bowling, laser tag, bumper cars and video games all night!
Happy Birthday Brett!  Thanks for making me a Mama. I love you more than you will ever know!

I Heart God

Brylee and I spent the night playing in her room on this particular night.  The boys were gone and it was just the two of us.  She is at the age where she is sounding out words and trying to write them.  I looked over and listened to her sound out...."GGGGOOOODDD"
I Heart God
So proud!
Then I hear her sounding out JJJEEESSSUUSS.
I love that Brylee hearts God!

Jacob's Commanding Officer

Oct 17th 2012
The time was 8:30 pm on a Wednesday night.
 Way past Jake's bedtime.
Usually I rush him off to bed after Awana.
But on this night I did not.
And for this I will be forever grateful to God for calming me enough to listen.
He had something on his heart.
He talked about school and his teacher.....I listened.
He had questions about Israel....We researched.
He talked about Jesus....I listened.
It was on this very night that he made the most important decision he will ever make!
He crawled up on my lap and told me he wanted Jesus in his life.
Of course this took my breath away.
I thought my heart would pound out of my chest.
I have never pushed this decision on him.
We talk about Jesus all the time.
But I wanted this to be his own decision.
He told me he had been thinking about this decision since he was 4.
He told me he wanted Jesus to be his Commanding Officer.
"Do you want to pray J?".
He shook his head yes.
I can't imagine loving Jacob anymore than I do but I know God does.
God...."I pray all Jacob's roads in life...good and bad lead right to your arms."
The night will be forever etched in my heart.

Ten-Eleven-Twelve

10-11-12
The day my baby turned 6 years old!
Up early...still tired but ready to get this birthday started.
A Hello Kitty Karaoke Machine.  MiMi and Grandpa Jim know their girl.
Brylee chose a birthday party instead of a $100 bill so she got one present from mom and dad. As you can tell Build-a-Bear Hello Kitty was on her wish list!
The Loot.
An early morning concert.
Hair styled with her cupcake birthday clip.
Feeling good!
My baby!
Just a little excited.
A birthday kiss from brother Jake.
All ready for school.
Birthday Lunch.
Cupcakes for Kindergarden.
Lots of pink mouths in class!
Next stop...a Chuck E Cheese Birthday Party with her 15 closest friends.
Abby, Brylee and McKinley
Anmol and Brylee.
Pizza Time.
Because my boys also have October birthdays and chose a $100 bill over a birthday party, I decided to let them go into the ticket blaster.
May be the last time I can talk Brett into holding a Chuck E Cheese balloon.

Cake...round 2.
Making a wish.
Wowsers!  Look at all those friends.
Finally...the ticket blaster.

Brylee was afraid of the ticket blaster and sent Anmol in her place.
Last but not least...present time!
Brylee says, "Thank you for all the presents!"
What a Crazy, Busy Fun Filled 6 year old Birthday!
Good night my 6 year old!
I love you more than you will ever know!
Happy Birthday!
