Piano Recital

Piano...not Brett's idea of a good time.
Possibly his idea of punishment.
But...he is good, a natural.
So his punishment will continue.
He will thank me later....maybe.
He was the only student who had both of his songs memorized.
I can only imagine how good he would be if he would practice more than once a week!

First Grade Field Trip

We went to the Como Zoo in St. Paul.
I was put in charge of these four gorgeous ladies.  Who I had the pleasure of eating lunch with and walking around the zoo on a nice chilly spring day.
They were silly and....
goofy!
The last field trip I took to the zoo I possibly lost a crazy, male, 5th grader I was put in charge of.
I only panicked for about 45 minutes.  In my defense I should of been given a leash.
This field trip to the zoo was a breeze.  Probably due to the fact my group was all female.
Love spending time time with my Brylee girl!

Easter 2014

Spur of the moment we packed up and headed home for Easter!  Bryan was in Arizona so it was just the kids and I.
Splashdown is a must in Minot....thanks Arlene!
Master easter egg decorators.
Fun waking up on Easter morning at MiMi and Grandpa's.
Brett
Jake
Brylee
Hunting the eggs as fast as she can.
Faster J!
Brett grew up and hunting eggs is no longer fun.
I had my first pool lesson from Jim.....he makes it look easy!  Not so much a natural at that game.
We were only able to stay a few days but the 1100 miles we drove was well worth it!!

Washington D.C.

Brett is right, going to Washington D.C. was the best field trip ever!
We dropped him off at the airport and being the over protective mother.....
I watched him until I could longer see him in the long security line.
One of the deals we made is I would pay for him to go if he sent me several pictures and at least one picture of himself everyday he was there.
He kept good on his deal and sent me lots of pictures!
Good thing for selfies.
His itinerary was jammed packed the whole trip.  What he was able to see and do was incredible.
After Brett's group had their tour of the Vietnam Memorial he told his teacher he would be right back.  He grabbed a friend and ran to the book to find which wall his Great Uncle Greg's name is on.  He could not find it so he looked it up on his phone.  He had just enough time to take a picture and run back to the bus.  Uncle Greg would of loved Brett!
He was shopping for Brylee at the National Cathedral when he texted me this picture.  He had bought a different necklace and returned it when he saw the pink cross.  Next thing you know his buddies that had sisters were then shopping for theirs.  He has a heart of gold!

He came back with a suitcase full of gifts for his sister and brother.

Brylee loves her cross necklace and wears it all the time!

A trip to remember!
Not sure another field trip could ever beat this one!
