Loggers Game

Baseball season has come to an end.
Jake's baseball team was invited to a Loggers game.
A great way to end the season.
He is watching in awe of the players warming up.
Dreaming of what it would be like to play on the big field.
"#88 Jacob Cavanaugh" was announced, he ran with pride listening to the applause and gave his high fives.
Standing proud with his team.
Then he was able to follow the big guys out onto the field.  He took his hat off, put it over his heart and stood for the national anthem.
I am very proud of my ball player...
and so are they!
He found his old dirty ball he brought with and timidly asked the ball players for their autographs.
He is optimistic that someday he will be the owner of a famous autograph.
Someday Jake,  you will be the one giving autographs.....
Dream big buddy!  Dream big!

Slurping Spaghetti

Another lost tooth.  Right smack in the front of her smile.
It left the perfect spot to slurp spaghetti through.
J showing off his slurping skills.
Brett ate too fast to get a slurping picture.
Cheers to another lost tooth!

Matthew Loves Katie

There was a wedding today.
This little girl's uncle got married.
Which meant Brylee and I whipped up some flower girl hair.
and done!
This gorgeous flower girl was not as thrilled.
Done with only a few tears shed.
Love these sisters!
Gorgeous girls!
Due to the fact Brylee wants to be sisters with Abby and Anna she is eager to some day marry their handsome brother.
The finger helps especially when you lose your mama.
The groom and his mom.
A job well done by this flower girl.
Congrats Matt and Katie!
They found the brides shoes and marveled over them.
Straight up Mountain Dew.
Straight up Pepsi.
'
Chilling at the bar alone.
Second or third or fourth round of Dew.
The caffeine consumption made for some sweet dance moves.
4 hours of dancing.
A quick break for some dress adjustments.
Brett heading up the train.
Bells and her Uncle Matt.
Yummy Cake.
More fun friends.
Love my friends!!!
The kids danced and drank pop until they crashed hard.

Thank you Matt and Katie for letting us share your special day.
Here's to many years to come!

Moving

Our house sold in a record 3 hours for over asking price.
I will take that as a sign that we are headed in the right direction.
We knew it was coming for the last 10 months.
We have been anxiously awaiting the news of where our next adventure will be.
As much as I hate to leave this beautiful, wonderful town we call home it is at the same time a relief to know.....to know where the next place is that we will call home.
I remember back to the feelings I had of leaving Wichita to come here.
The overwhelming feeling of the fear of the unknown.
Now this is home. And I Don't Want to Move.  I want to cross my arms, stomp my feet and say I'm not going.  I don't want to leave our friends, our church, our neighborhood, our doctors, our grocery store, the schools, the teachers, the town.
I love every time we leave the house I see familiar faces.  The grocery clerk knows my name, we go to the pool and have many friends to spend the afternoon with.  The kids play sports and dance with their friends.  We have a church we call home.
But I choose to put on my big girl pants and make this the most exciting adventure the kids have ever been on.  I choose to be my husband's biggest cheerleader.   I choose to not let the stress of moving rub off on my kids. (truth be known I have failed a few times on that one they have been giving me hugs when they feel my stress) I choose to keep my eyes on Jesus and let him lead our way.
I know that God has allowed his kingdom to grow while we called Holmen our home and for that I will be forever grateful.
We will drive west two and half hours and call Minnesota our new home.
Brylee all on her own wrote this.
Soon Minnesota will be our "home sweet home"

Carpenter

This girl has a father who is also a pretty darn good carpenter.
This is a picture of what her daddy looks like while he is cutting wood in the garage.
This a picture of what he build.  A stand for the washer and dryer.  Which the mother of the girl is very happy to have.
