Easter 2013

Easter goodies from Grandma Sue
She sent some peeps that of course had to be blown up in the microwave.
Easter Morning...
brought....
Easter baskets full of loot.
MiMi had a special egg with $20 for each kiddo.
Brylee and Jake raced...
to hunt all the eggs.  Brett got old on me and decided he was not going to hunt eggs :(
We went to church Saturday night so we spent the morning making a huge mess with shaving cream and food color dying eggs.

Brylee put on her Easter best....
and we joined the boys outside for a freezing cold, good time!
Brylee kept warm by jump roping.
Dying Easter eggs and eating chocolate bunnies is fun but we don't forget what Easter is about.
John 11:25-26Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die.

Awana 2012-2013

Another Awana year has come and gone.
This was our 8th year.
These 3 kids have sooooo many bible verses that are hidden in their hearts forever.
I spent this year with a wild and crazy bunch of wonderful Kindergarden girls!!
Brylee finished her 1st year Spark book.
Jacob finished his 3rd and last Spark book.
and
Brett finished his 4th T&T book and received his Timothy award.
Brett went above and beyond this year.  At First Free they move the 6th grade kids up to Youth Group.  Which means most kids do not work on their own to finish that last book and get their Timothy Award.  Go Brett!!!
Each year we squeeze as many friends as we can in the van.
This year we picked up our neighbors Anmol, Amon and Jess.  We squeezed them in the van and off we went every Wednesday night.
Little Jess moved here from India and had very limited English when Awana started.
Not anymore!  She is a sponge and can now speak English proficenlty.
She melts my heart when she says.
"Jesus loves me!"
Aman and Anmol have lived in America for serveral years now.
Anmol accepted Jesus in her heart this year at Awana.  My heart soars for this girl!
She will always have a special place in my heart.

Brylee ♥'s Auntie Talli

Brylee adores her Aunt Talli.
They have a serious love affair.
The above picture she was wishing Talli did not have to go home.
When I told Brylee that Talli was coming she got busy.
Really busy.
During her free time in school and at home she created masterpiece after masterpiece.
She professed her love for Talli with 50 pieces of art.
Still to this day she writes "I love Talli all over her school work."
While Talli is here she squeezes in Brylee's twin bed.
Brylee is never 2 inches away from her.
The morning Talli left they got up early and made breakfast in bed for me.
Yummy!
Now that Talli has gone home, I fill up an envelope with the pictures I pull out of her backpack and put them in the mail.
They mail each other packages.
Talli mailed her fun nail stickers and art work.
Brylee ♥'s her ANT TALLI!

Sledding with Talli

Sledding time with Auntie Talli!
She squeezed into some of Brett's snowpants put on Brylee scarf and hat and off we went.
Time...
to climb that huge hill...
and scream all the way down!
These two were fearless!
That sledding will wipe you out.
Break time...
for the goof ball.
Go Bryan!
My cute snow monster.
I pulled them all the way back.
Think they climbed the hill one too many times!
