Face Painting by J

Brylee loves making a fashion statement with face paint.  She convinced her brother to put some beautiful art work on her face.
She was all smiles until....
She looked in the mirror and saw the bullseye she had smack dab in the middle of her forehead.
Other than that she was very happy with the art on her checks.

Apples

Me and my Girl went on a Kindergarten Apple Orchard field trip today.

We took a tractor ride.

 Picked the best apple....
sent it for a ride on the apple sorting machine.
And then came the bees.  She was less then impressed while learning about bees.  The bees filled the air and the instructions to hold still are about impossible when bees are your biggest fear.  Poor thing!
The good news...she recovered from being traumatized by those mean old bees.

A quick class photo and we climbed back on the big yellow school bus.

My Sicky

Jacob has not felt good for about 2 weeks.  Not horrible but he was not himself.
Finally it took him out with a fever.  He could no longer fake it......
Fake that his throat hurt.
He has a BIG fear of getting his throat swabbed at the doctor.
It once took two men to hold him down to get the swab.  He is a fighter.
After missing two days of school I dragged him to the doctor.
He was asked to show how he felt by pointing to a picture.  In trying to avoid the swab he pointed to the picture of the smiling face.
His tempature was 102.4 and his throat was covered in white patches with huge tonsils.  He still kept to his story that he was just fine.
Because Brett had strep throat 3 weeks ago his doctor showed him mercy and did not do the swab.
He was one lucky boy!
1 day of antibiotics and my spunky, crazy boy is back.

First Days of Kindergarten

The first few days of Kindergarten were color days: Shown above all dressed up for each color!
Brylee did a great job jumping on the bus right up until Pink Day.
She turned on the tears and got herself a ride to school compliments of her Mama.
She is currently working on a sticker chart: 5 rides on the bus with no tears equals a trip to Justice to pick out some new lip-gloss.
Easier said than done.
After school on the crying day she ran into the house and said proudly,
"Mama wasn't I strong today!"....you know when they peeled her off my legs to go into class.
She then told me it would be a good idea if I did not come to lunch with her until High School because she is sure she would cry when I had to leave.
Love that girl!

And for your viewing pleasure....Brylee reads Rainbow Hair and My Color Book
