He loves attention.
He looks just like his daddy.
He loves life.
He is one of a kind!

First Days of Kindergarten

The first few days of Kindergarten were color days: Shown above all dressed up for each color!
Brylee did a great job jumping on the bus right up until Pink Day.
She turned on the tears and got herself a ride to school compliments of her Mama.
She is currently working on a sticker chart: 5 rides on the bus with no tears equals a trip to Justice to pick out some new lip-gloss.
Easier said than done.
After school on the crying day she ran into the house and said proudly,
"Mama wasn't I strong today!"....you know when they peeled her off my legs to go into class.
She then told me it would be a good idea if I did not come to lunch with her until High School because she is sure she would cry when I had to leave.
Love that girl!

And for your viewing pleasure....Brylee reads Rainbow Hair and My Color Book

Laundry

Imagine you are almost 12...
Have never done a complete load of laundry in your life...
You come home from school...
Walk past the laundry room...
And your Mom hung a new sign in the laundry room...
You read the sign...
Go find your Mom...
and with Big Eyes ask...
"Is that sign in the laundry room really true?"

It's Football Time

Jake's first Flag Football game of the season was this morning.  He loves Football!
He ran the ball, threw the ball, and grabbed some flags.
Look at the intensity in his eyes...
Run J Run!
Oh yea got the flags!
and the return of the flags.
Love watching my boy play!!

MiMi and Grandpa Jim

Best Days Ever when Mama and Jim come to visit!
Grandpa Jim was the best sport ever as he took the first trip through the lunch line to eat lunch with his girl Brylee.  He was a trooper eating the most delicious tomato soup with an itsy bitsy spoon.
2nd trip through the line to eat with Jake.  Oh yea walking tacos this time.
Jacob now knows how to kick a football the right way.  Grandpa is a Great Football Coach!

Breakfast while the kids are in school.  And only my Mom can order off the senior menu for me.
These two are great examples of what an Amazing marriage looks like.
Next stop shooting lessons for Mom at Gander Mountain.
Watch out you criminals she is not afraid to shoot!

Until next time.......

I Love You

My Baby is at her first day of Kindergarten....all day long....right now as I type.  She was only a little nervous.  I wrote I love you on her hand and told her to look at it if she was nervous or missed me. I know one thing, I sure miss her and her brothers!
Last year Brett watched out for Jake at school.  He was the strong, brave big brother.  Now Brett has moved on to Middle School
This morning I tried to tell Jake it was now his turn to take care and protect Brylee....make sure she has someone to sit with on the bus....make sure she wasn't scared when she got off the bus...make sure she has a friend at 1st recess.  If you know Jake he is is a feisty one!  I heard "I know, I know Mom."  To say the least not a very reassuring big brother.  And lets be honest I forced him to hold her hand for the above picture.
They jumped on the bus...notice Jake not paying much attention to his little sister behind him.  But Brylee was fine.  She did not even look back.  She jumped right on!
Poor Brett is sick today.  On the way to the doctor we stopped by the school to spy on the Jake and Brylee.  Brylee was running around holding hands with several girls and was just fine.  And guess what Jake was doing?  That's right, he was following her every step.  Not trying to play with her just guarding her, protecting her.  Just like the AWESOME big brother he is.
And a picture yesterday of my Brett walking down to catch the bus at 6:44 am....that actually forgot to pick up this entire block.  It was a nice long 35 minute wait on the first day of school.  This year he looked so little standing with a bunch of High Schoolers....he was the only kid in Middle School at the bus stop.  Brett was a nervous wreck about starting Middle School.  I am very proud of him.  He faced his fears jumped on that bus and walked into the Great Big Middle School and had the best first day of Middle School.

School Picture Day

Even though school doesn't start for 3 more weeks....
today was School Picture Day.
Which consisted of a little bribery.
It cost me a total of $7.
Because Jakers does not like to wear Polo shirts or pose for pictures I broke out my wallet.
Which by the way is a learned skill that was passed down by my mother.
And of course I had to pay the others to be fair and the above picture cost an extra dollar.
As you can tell this one knows how to work it for the camera!
So with a little sweat and $7 dollars I survived School Picture Day.
