Brett had an awesome first game. He was up to bat once... hit a single, and had a great play at third base (or whatever you call it)
It is so much fun this year. He is playing with all his friends from school and has an awesome coach.

The Day I Have Been Waiting For.......

it came. This is the day that Brylee and I played Barbies and Princess on her bedroom floor! Just the girls ;)

She told me this morning that her room is the girls room. So that's where we go to get away from all the boys in this house.

Brylee's Plural World

The child adds a "s" to the last word of every sentence. Her two favorite words...."Hairs" "Heres" Love that girl!

It goes something like this......

Jacob if you don't want me to take your picture, that's fine.
Umm he changed his mind.

The Morning Rush

Another morning to get ready for the bus in 10 minutes. Can he do it????
he made it with minutes to spare, got dressed, ate, bathroom and brushed his teeth in less than 10 minutues!
5 more days of school. Holy Cow....He will be in the 3rd grade....how is that possible???

Brett was Wondering......

if he could go to Summer School.....When I told him that it was for kids who needed a little extra help.....he pleaded with me....he begged....he promised he would try to learn 3rd grade stuff. Boy... he is bummed that he has had all A's this year, didn't miss a spelling word and reads at a High School Level..... because he really wants to go to Summer School :(

This was Jacobs first year of Awanas. He is amazing and memorized one verse a week. He has so many questions and loves God :)

Brett received his Sparky Award. He completed 3 years of being a Spark. To receive the award he had to memorize 166 verses and all the books of the bible. How amazing is that? He has been given a gift. He blows me away!!!

A Princess

Today at work Jacob heard a little boy call Brylee a baby. Geez that boy got an earful from Jake. He looked at the boy and said "My sister is not a Baby.....she is a Princess because Jesus believes in her."

If you talk bad about Jake's sister.....he will set you staight!!!!!!

and now for the other brother.....

Every week that Brett has all green days at school he gets to pick a treasure out of the Treasure Box. Today he brought home a Princess Coin Purse for Brylee and proceeded to tell me that he is going to get her the other Princess purse next week. Brylee's Brother's Rock!!!!!!

A Present

"Hey Mom, When is Jesus'birthday." "On Christmas Jake." "Mom I want to give Him a present!" "What do you want to give Him?" "Well a gift...you know like a card but don't tell Him because I want it to be a surprise....you know when he gets here."

This morning Jake and I were having a conversation about Jesus coming back.....but don't tell Him Jake has a present waiting :)

The Good and Bad of Band-Aids

When you fall down the slide and bump your head.... a band-aid sure makes your owie feel better.

But if you put it on your eyebrow that is not such a good thing.
It really hurts to take off the band-aid and makes you cry even more! Then you don't know what hurts more the bump or the owie from the band-aid being pulled off.

and you are left with big red spots from ripping the band-aid off.....

So what do you do when you bump your head, put a band-aid on your eyebrow and rip it off?.....well.... of course you cry alot and put another band-aid on.....hopefully not on the eyebrow again. Boy is it hard to be 2!
