Brett's 1st Football Game

Brett was pumped for his first game. He woke up bright and early ready to go. He followed coaches instructions and had ate a plate of eggs. Might I add he does not like eggs :)

They may have lost and he has a bruise on his leg, but he had a blast and is all ready to go to a football party this afternoon. A day full of football!

and they have some pretty cute cheerleaders :)
Next Saturday we are off to Hutchinson for game #2.

Friday Night Lights

Brylee wants to be a cheerleader and Jake is very confused to why there were boy cheerleaders....because boys are only football players and NOT cheerleaders and he was very upset that Goddard was losing!

Brett was so excited to go out on the field and informed me that his coach made all the Junior Players haul butt 50 yards and that he went so fast his side hurt.

Fun night!!!!

Jake goes to Preschool!

This is Mrs. Wright...Jakes's preschool teacher. Jacob got to meet her on Tuesday. She is lovely.
Today is his first day of preschool! He was very excited:)

He wanted only his Dad to drop him off. He finally agreed to let me go in. Geez!

Seriously who would not want to go to school here???

Not a tear shed from him. He went right in and joined the other kids....did not look for us one time. I'm glad!

Going to pick him up in one more hour, even though he requested I not come until midnight :)

Slurping Spaghetti

the reason I do not like spaghetti.....Everytime Talli, Ryan or myself lost a tooth, my Mom made spaghtetti so we could slurp it through our new hole. Think how many times I had spaghetti growing up being the oldest child???!!!

So in keeping family tradition....we celebrated Jacob's first lost tooth with spaghtetti....well they celebrated with a big bowl of spaghetti....me not so much.

My Prayer Warrior

Jacob was not feeling good last night. He had a fever and his tummy hurt.....so Brylee and I decided to pray for him.

Below is a video of Brylee praying.

Brylee learned how to pray from Jacob. We all know Jacob is a bit speech delayed. Jacob is first to pray at dinner and he bows his little head and mumbles through his words. Brylee has decided that just must be how you pray.

Can you say speech therapy for Brylee!

Confessions by Jacob

It goes something like this:

Jacob again finds some scissors...again and cuts Brylee's dogs hair or I guess fur.

He comes down and tells me that Brylee did it. Brylee follows a few seconds later and is screaming that she did not do it. Jacob lies about it for a few minutes....and then I pull my well God knows the truth. I then get the sad okay I did it. He goes into the other room and I hear:

"Mom!!!...Does God hear me?" "Yes." "Okay... God I'm sorry I cut Brylee's dog hair and oh yea and I'm sorry I cut the big dog's hair too."

I love my Jacob!!

10 minutes later...."Mom when I see Jesus I am going to give him lots of kisses."

Brett's 1st day of 3rd Grade

Why do kids have to grow up so fast?? Today is Brett's 1st day of 3rd grade.
You can't tell by the picture but he was really upset he could not wait in the rain by himself for 20 minutes...

so Brylee and I stuck him in the car and waited with him.

This is the last weekend of summer :(

This is Mrs. Wells....Brett's 3rd grade teacher. Doesn't she look like a Great Teacher?!

Brett got to meet her on Thursday and then eat some ice cream!!!

I will sure miss Brett on Monday, but he is super excited for his first day of 3rd grade.

My Scientists

Check it off Brett's list....that is the Diet Coke and Mentos experiment. He has wanted to do this for a long time. The boys loved it and Brylee just wanted to drink the mint flavored pop.

Our Last Adventure of Summer 2009...

One last adventure before school. The kids had a blast at All Star Adventures...even if it was 100 degrees. It was all fun until Brett felt starting sick but you know Brett he is ready to back.
